For those who do not know, a Nintendo Direct is a presentation of sorts of what's to come for Nintendo as a company, especially with regards to their consoles and video games. It is during this broadcast that massive announcements are made, and people are usually at the edge of their seats in anticipation and speculation as to what the next big thing could be.

Let us go through the list of some of the biggest announcements during Nintendo's most recent Nintendo Direct.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey

A remake of the 2009 Nintendo DS game Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is set to release for the Nintendo 3DS this 2019. Fans of the title will be pleased to hear that Nintendo 3DS remake will also feature another story revolving around Bowser 's kid, Bowser Jr.

Luigi's Mansion

A remake of the 2001 Nintendo Gamecube game Luigi's Mansion is set to release for the Nintendo 3DS sometime this year. The mansion's map will be displayed on the console's bottom screen, and something new called Boss Rush Mode will be available as an added experience for players.

Kirby Star Allies

The game is set to release this 16 March 2018 on the Nintendo Switch, and it was revealed that among the playable characters as you progress through your journey are fan-favorite Legacy characters King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee. More Dream Friends will be added to the game via free software updates after launch, with the first update set to release this 28 March 2018.

Okami HD

The remaster will be ported over to the Nintendo Switch and will be available for download on the Nintendo eShop this Summer 2018! Use the console's touchscreen capabilities in Handheld mode or the Joy-Con's motion controls in Tabletop and TV mode to generate brush strokes with Okami's Celestial Brush.

Dark Souls: Remastered

Also launching on the 25th of May 2018 apart from the Dark Souls: Remastered for the Nintendo Switch will be the Solaire of Astora amiibo. With it, players can now perform the ever-popular Praise the Sun gesture with reckless abandon.

Never say never! For the very first time, a Crash Bandicoot video game will be available for play on a Nintendo console. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is making its way to the Nintendo Switch this 10 July 2018.

A launch date has finally been announced. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be available on the Nintendo Switch this 18 May 2018.

Super Smash Bros.

It was revealed that one of the highly sought-after Nintendo AAA video game titles is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch! On top of that, fans won't have to wait any longer because it will be launching sometime this year!

Did You Know? Super Smash Bros. is known for having a plethora of playable characters to choose from, which also comes from a multitude of just-as-famous video game franchises.
