Rocket Knight Adventures is a side-scrolling platformer video game developed and published by Konami for the Sega Genesis in 1993. Like most side-scrolling platformers of its generation, the title follows a linear storyline about a hero's adventures to protect and save the in-game world from evildoers, and that isn't to say that that is a bad thing.

Video game critics highly regard Rocket Knight Adventure as one of the greatest platformers not only of its generation but of all time. The game was especially iconic for its graphics, music, level design, and well-thought-out gameplay. Having cemented itself in the video game industry, the game's hero, Sparkster, is even considered by some as the second mascot of SEGA, only next to Sonic the Hedgehog.
